Liliana Castellanos’ store opens its doors in the business heart of the City of La Paz, Bolivia, the South Zone, spilling style and elegance. The team of designers lead by architects Juan Carlos Menacho and Humberto Beltran, demonstrated their skills once again on this prestigious boutique.
The space is wide, refined and luminous. The showcases display a delicate game of rectangular forms enhancing the accessories without dominating the scene. The cleanliness of the entrance provides a prelude to a modern and interesting space.
The different textures used create a dynamic but serene sensation of the space. The walls present delicate vertical elements which increase the sensation of height and turn them into decorative components. The tables themselves acquire personality, playing with transparencies and layers. The shelves, generally forgotten objects, are used with imagination and sensitivity by the architects. The lighting used in the shelves create the illusion that shelves are suspended in the air. The floor shows a combinations of materials that go from warm wood to cool porcelain, creating paths that make the eye travel softly throughout the store. From the ceiling, a golden waterfall against a black background drops down unifying all elements and giving a sense of direction, which is amplified by exquisite subtle but powerful lighting, creating a unique result.
The placement of the hangers, showcase and shelving show every accessory as a decorative element fusing against the surroundings.
The generosity of open spaces is maintained throughout the store. From the ceiling decorative golden sheets fall and give a sense of movement as customers walk about, creating dynamic and attractive spaces. Without doubt, the design presented by architects Menacho and Beltran bring a touch of glamour to the streets of la Paz.
