The new Headquarters of sports label PUMA in Herzogenaurach is designed according to the famous red shoe box.

Puma, one of the world’s leading sport life- style companies, designs and develops footwear, clothing and accessories. The new headquarters in Herzogenaurach, called PUMAVision Headquarters, consists of three buildings in total. Alongside the office building a so called brand centre was erected, which serves as an in-house conference centre with a multimedia hall and numerous conference rooms. In addition, the retail building with its red ALUCOBOND® façade comprises an outlet store, the merchandising centre and a restaurant. The design is inspired by the brand and its logo. The retail building is modelled on the world-famous red shoe box, and the cantilevered tribune of the multimedia hall represents Puma’s formstripe. The ecological aspect played an important role in the planning process. With modern concrete core temperature control, all three buildings are heated or cooled in an environmentally sound manner. In addition, there is a large photovoltaic system on the roof of the retail building as well as photovoltaic elements integrated into the ALUCOBOND® façade on the south side of the building. Besides environmental protection the creation of attractive working space played an important role. The modern and stylish ambiance is an expression of Puma’s philosophy.
