Serrano Monjaraz Arquitectos has designed the Pabellón Cultural de la República located in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, México. It is a cultural unit formed by five buildings communicated by circulations that the visitors can use to go from one building to the other or just for an outdoors walk. Surrounding a central garden the different facilities are located. The museum a magnificent 590.55 ft long box. The theater a volume of geological geometry related to the hills on the background. The library an inclined building. This pavilion celebrates the 200 and 100 years of the Independence and Revolution of Mexico with an exhibit of the best of the national, regional and international culture.

Serrano Monjaraz Arquitectos is a firm founded in Mexico City in 1992. The firm develops architectonic spaces where quality is achieved by the adequate use of materials and the use of light as a creative element.
For architects Juan Pablo Serrano Orozco and Rafael Monjaraz Fuentes space is their raw material, trough which they show their capability and performance in every architecture field; always supported on multidisciplinary teams.
Because of their organizational structure and professionalism the firm has worked in association with several studios and architects. They have been invited to national and international competitions and actively participate forming and promoting architecture.
Juan Pablo Serrano Orozco

Juan Pablo Serrano Orozco
Mexico City, 1969. Graduated in architecture and urbanism from Universidad Iberoamericana in 1987, with internship studies in The Texas University in Austin and The University of California in Los Angeles.
He received an Honorable Mention from the Universidad Iberoamericana in 1991. He is the fourth generation of architects in his family. Faculty member of the Universidad Iberoamericana since 1993 up to date.
He collaborated in the studios of Teodoro González de León, J. Francisco Serrano, Augusto H. Álvarez and Ricardo Legorreta.
His work has been exhibited in important cities and countries such as: Mexico, United States, Paris, Singapore, Honk Kong, France and Spain. He has been interviewed and published in a wide variety of national and international magazines. He has received a great number of important awards and recognitions in Mexico and other countries.
Rafael Monjaraz Fuentes

Rafael Monjaraz Fuentes
Mexico City, 1969. In 1988 he studied plastic arts in Dante Alighieri academy and later started his studies at the architecture faculty at the University of Studies of Rome, La Sapienza. In 1992 he started his urbanism specialty and his professional practice in Rome founding his firm: Monjaraz Arquitectos.
While studying he collaborated for L´Arca architecture magazine as well as for different architecture firms such as Boni & Nervi Associate Architects. In 1995 he returned to Mexico and continued working for overseas contests and projects. He designed his studio-house LAU.
He has been faculty member and lecturer at the University of the Studies in Rome, La Sapienza, the Milan Polytechnic and different universities in Mexico. He has collaborated with an important number of national and international developers and architecture firms both in Mexico and Italy. He has received meaningful national and international awards.
